High protein bbq baked beans

In this installment of our bean recipe series...
we're preparing one of my favorite sides to eat at the cookout. Bbq baked beans are often made with bacon, fatty beef, and sugary sauce. This can really take a toll on your body, causing your blood sugar to spike and contributing to extra weight. We don't want either of those things to happen not only for our overall health but to keep our hair healthy and full.
The swaps -
So needless to say we will be creating a low sugar, low calorie, high protein version of this side dish. This recipe is heavy on the meat because I need the iron. Feel free to adjust the bean to meat ratio. Making this sugar free was as simple as using a sugar free bbq sauce and ketchup and swapping Splenda for the usual brown sugar. We're also using a lean cut of beef to boost protein while lowering the number of calories. Leaving out the bacon trims off a significant number of calories as well.
I hope you enjoy this dish! Comment below and let me know what you think ^.^
